A mist eliminator built from a coarse and a fine mist eliminator
is not performing as desired. The gas gas heater is plugging up
or the wet stack is emitting "stack rain" or the mist eliminator
is subject to fast plugging itself. The power plant is looking for
an improvement - possibly without replacing the existing mist
eliminator.
An additional third mist elimiantor would be the solution for the plant.
However, the problem is obvious. How to add an additional mist eliminator.
There is no room above or below and there is no steel structure to
install the mist eliminator.
The tubular upgrade kit is the solution for this situation.
RPT can install an additional "pre-separator" level in the FGD with
a minimum of effort and cost. In a matter of 2 - 5 days (depending
on the size of the absorber) RPT shall add a tubular upgrade kit
to the existing configuration and on the existing steel structure.
