Cold end plate packs

The cold end of the gas heat exchanger Reduce plugging and increase life time of heat exchanger baskets

Design:
The plastic cold end plate packs is installed on top of the enameled baskets of the rotary gas gas heater. It protects the enameled basktes from plugging and from corrion and abrasion

Function and characteristics:
Fly ash and gypsum form encrustations on the enameled baskets of the gas gas heat exchanger and plug it. RPT's cold end plate packs catch the liquid coming from the FGD and reduce this plugging.
Corrosion (sulphuric acid) and erosion (from online cleaning) attack the enmeled baskets and cause replacement every few years. RPT's plastic cold end plate packs protect the enameled baskets from this attack and double their life time.

Material and temperatures:

Polypropylene (PPTV)		up to 100°C short term up to 120°C
PTFE; PVDF or PSU		up to 180°C
